The Dancing Dolphins had a great first week of full days! We started working on some things that we will keep for our portfolios. It will be fun to look back at how we wrote our names and our self-portraits from the beginning of  the school year!

 

The letter last week was “Bb” and we worked on writing the number “2”. Writing the number 2 can be difficult for some children, but we are getting in a lot of practice.

Sophie’s mom was our first “Mystery Reader” on Friday! She brought in a funny book called Morris The Moose. The kids were very excited for the surprise reader and we can’t wait for our next Mystery Reader.

This week we are working on the letter “Cc” and writing the number “3”. We will also continue to practice writing the letters and numbers we have learned so far.

This school year in EK is going to be fabulous! I’m so excited to start the year with new Owls. I have been planning all summer to make sure we have lots of fun & learn great, new things. Our “Dancing Dolphin” classroom is almost ready! The first day will be here before we know it, so get ready….and off we go!
